Nadia Barkema Master HairstylistNadia is a Master Hairstylist with 14 years experience in the hair industry. Nadia started her career in the Okanagan and owned her first small salon here in Armstrong from 2008 -2011. Nadia moved to Nanaimo, where she opened ADIA Salon which she owned for 6 years and was rated the top salon in Nanaimo. She has moved back to her roots to be close to family now that she has a family of her own. She is excited to deliver a top quality service here at J.O.Y. Salon, and build relationships with new clients! Nadia specializes in short hair, especially short textured cuts. She values the importance of listening to the guest and their wishes, but also loves to give recommendations based on skin tone, face shape, and lifestyle. Her clients love her ability to give a fresh look, have the knowledge and experience to do complicated colour work, or to completely change their look with hair extensions, a smoothing service, or a sharp new hair cut.
